Thirty residents of a building in Setúbal were left displaced this Saturday, March 14, following a fire in the building's garage, the cause of which is being investigated by the Judiciary Police (PJ), according to a Civil Protection source. The Setúbal Peninsula Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command reported that the alert for the fire at the building on Rua da Fé was received at 12:24 PM. The building was rendered uninhabitable due to electrical damage caused by the flames, leaving the property without power. The fire completely destroyed one car parked in the garage and damaged three others. Twenty residents are staying with family, while the remaining 10 were rehoused by municipal services. The PJ confirmed that a team has conducted forensic examinations at the scene to determine the origin of the fire. The operation involved 24 personnel from the Setúbal Sapador Firefighters, PSP, PJ, and the utility company E-redes, supported by eight vehicles.
