In 2025, the Portuguese state received almost 232 million euros in court costs, 1,435,305 euros more than in 2024, according to data from the Directorate-General for Justice Policy. This figure represents an increase of nearly 1% compared to the previous year. Over the last 20 years, the highest value was recorded in 2018.
