Authorities resumed the search this Friday, April 3, for the 17-year-old who disappeared at sea on Wednesday afternoon at Dragão Vermelho beach in Costa da Caparica, Almada. The National Maritime Authority (AMN) stated that search operations, coordinated by the Lisbon Maritime Police, involve the Cascais Lifeboat Station, the SeaWatch project, and the Cacilhas Volunteer Firefighters. The Maritime Police's Forensic Diving and Underwater Operations Group conducted dives this morning with no results. The youth reportedly disappeared after entering the water while playing football with friends.
