The South Bank Transport Users Commission has filed a complaint with the Ombudsman regarding the service provided by the railway company Fertagus. The commission is seeking intervention to ensure user rights are respected, requesting an evaluation of public service obligations, improved transparency, and better communication regarding maintenance and delays. While Fertagus management admits to operating at capacity due to a 50% increase in demand since 2018, the government has acknowledged a shortage of trains but maintains that there are no safety issues.
