EU heads of state and government are meeting in Cyprus for an informal two-day summit, primarily focused on the Middle East conflict and energy prices. Prime Minister Luís Montenegro is representing Portugal at the summit, which will also address the war in Ukraine, EU budget financing for 2028-2034, and regional security, including a meeting with leaders from Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
