Exports of sports goods totalled 728.8 million euros last year, with the two-wheeler sector standing out the most. Data released this Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE) show that bicycles, of which Portugal is the 'king' of production in Europe, accounted for 58.7% of total sales of equipment.
