Greenvolt Next, part of the Greenvolt Group, has announced an agreement with Cork Airport to develop Ireland's largest solar car park. The 1.7 MW project will feature 3,696 panels and is expected to generate approximately 1.5 GWh annually, covering 20% of the airport's electricity needs. The project will be completed in two phases, with the first finishing this semester and the second running from September until August 2027. Supported by Irish government departments, the initiative aims to reduce CO2 emissions and operational costs. Greenvolt Group CEO João Manso Neto highlighted the project as a key step in decarbonising ground operations.
