Patrícia Gomes, meteorologist at the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere, forecasts intense precipitation and strong winds in the coming hours on the mainland, particularly along the coast and in mountain areas of the centre and south. The most severe warnings remain in place until the early morning, with gusts of 75–80 km/h expected in several districts, after which the wind should gradually ease.
