After months of negotiations, the presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement on a new regulation aimed at protecting the steel sector from global overproduction. The metallurgy and metalworking sector accuses Brussels of protecting the European steel industry at the expense of the manufacturing industry.
