A girl under five years old was shot in the face on Friday night (March 13) in the Penajoia shanty town in Almada, reports JN. According to the PSP, the child was taken to Garcia de Orta Hospital by family members. The minor arrived conscious and was never in life-threatening danger; authorities were only notified of the case once she was at the hospital. As the crime involved a firearm, the Setúbal Judicial Police were called to investigate the case, the circumstances of which remain unknown, and no arrests have been made.
