Several areas across the country are already flooded due to heavy rain, but the situation is currently stable.
After Storm Ingrid, mainland Portugal began on Monday to feel the effects of Storm Joseph, with rain, snow, wind and rough seas in Minho and the Douro Litoral.
The hardest-hit areas were Lisbon and the Tagus Valley and the Central region, particularly the coastal districts.
The third low-pressure system named Joseph is forecast to bring increased rainfall, strong winds, snowfall in some areas and choppy seas along the coast, affecting travel and maritime conditions.
