The Government announced €10 million to improve the soundproofing of homes near the airport, an amount that the group of nearby residents called “late” and “insufficient”.

The government marked the signing of cooperation protocols to implement the 'Less Noise' Programme, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of 16 March 2025.

The Inspectorate-General for the Environment fined the concessionaire of Lisbon Airport for failing to meet obligations to soundproof homes affected by noise. Amid fines and delays, the Government launched a programme to curb the airport's impact on the populations of the affected municipalities.
