The book “Misericórdia” was written at the request of Lídia Jorge's mother, who died on 19 April 2020 from COVID-19 in a social care institution in the Algarve.

The Socialist Party (PS) will submit a bill titled “Coming Home” to Parliament proposing the creation of transitional residences aimed at reducing social institutionalisation.
