Depression Kristin: winds around 140 km/h but could exceed predicted values

Nuno Lopes, from the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), warns of the passage of Depression Kristin, associated with “explosive cyclogenesis”, with gusts that may exceed forecasts, particularly along the north and central coast. In addition to strong winds, periods of heavy rain, rough seas and snowfall are expected, and several weather warnings have been issued.
