In Caxarias, in the municipality of Ourém, there has been no electricity for more than two days and many people are without water. In Ferreira do Zêzere the power is out and the damage to houses and infrastructure is evident.

A problem with the pump on the only borehole supplying the village has left the taps of its 1,500 residents dry for six days. A fix is expected by the end of the week. The parish council president criticises the lack of prevention.
