João Pinheiro will be the only Portuguese referee at the 2026 World Cup

The 38-year-old referee from the Braga Football Association was officially appointed by FIFA for the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Portugal has not had a national representative at a World Cup since 2014.
