After three dogs were electrocuted, the city council announced in December that it would audit the city's lamps and luminaires. Since then there have been no developments in the process and the PCP is questioning the council.

Lisbon City Council will commission an inspection of the city's street lamps and lighting fixtures as soon as possible following incidents of “possible electrocutions” of animals which, according to the council itself, “have created a climate of distrust in the public lighting network serving the city”.
