Most incidents were recorded in the North region due to heavy rainfall. Additionally, six ports on the island of São Miguel are closed until next Wednesday.

The captain of Ponta Delgada Port has ordered that six ports on São Miguel Island be closed to all navigation because of the weather conditions, particularly the state of the sea.

IPMA upgraded the warning to red for the islands in the Western and Central groups of the Azores because of rough seas, with waves forecast up to 10 metres high.
