EU reaches agreement on target to reduce pollutant emissions by 90% by 2040
Members of the European Parliament and countries in the European Union (EU) have today reached an agreement on a target to reduce pollutant emissions by 90% by 2040, aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050, although new forms of flexibility are anticipated.
