Property scams: 'Many people buy homes and pay the deposit without even checking whether the seller is the owner'

A property fraud in Palmela is believed to have affected more than 120 people, causing losses of over €26 million. The case concerns the alleged breach of promissory purchase and sale agreements in several developments in the Palmela municipality.
