The Portuguese women's national football team secured a play-off spot for the World Cup this Saturday (18) after a 2-1 victory over Slovakia in the Nations League, moving closer to winning Group B3 and earning promotion to League A. Despite conceding an early goal to Klaudia Fabová in the eighth minute, Portugal turned the match around before half-time with goals from Carolina Santiago and Kika Nazareth. Portugal currently leads Group B3 with 12 points, ahead of Finland, Slovakia, and Latvia.
