Exhibition at the Expresso and SIC building commemorates the career of the founder, who passed away in October 2025.

The series, which premiered in 1997, is “trapped” in the RTP archive; the broadcaster has the tapes but cannot air them on television. The production company has closed down, and no one knows exactly who holds the rights.

The first images were of a ventriloquist’s dummy called Stooky Bill, and from there television went on to evolve.
The first issue of Expresso was published 53 years ago. The world was already dangerous and few Portuguese voted.
