In the first round, André Ventura did not win at home. Algueirão-Mem Martins is the country's largest parish, where the candidate finished behind Seguro with 25.58% of the votes.

António José Seguro won the first round of the presidential election in Penamacor by a large margin. He received 71.3% of the votes in the town where he was born.

By midday, polling stations in Lisbon's University City reported a voter turnout of 17%.

In the 11pm debate, Seguro argued in favour of tactical voting, while António Filipe insisted he would not withdraw his bid for the Belém presidency.
