The 16th edition of the Tomar literary festival takes place from Thursday to Saturday. Highlights include debates on the author's work, AI, and a performance featuring music by Yuri Marchese.

The ninth edition of the festival will take place in the municipalities of Arganil, Lousã, Condeixa-a-Nova, and Coimbra, with this year's theme being 'Genocides, the dark interior of Humanity'.

The 10th edition of the literary festival takes place between 17 and 24 April in Nelas, a municipality in the Viseu district with deep roots in the writer's work and memory.

The full programme for the first edition of the Babell literary festival includes Hungarian author László Krasznahorkai, winner of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Literature, as the main highlight for the event taking place in Porto from 24 to 29 June.

It promises to be one of the biggest literary events of the summer, bringing great writers from Portugal and around the world to Porto. Two Nobel laureates will attend Babell, which will also feature a unique concert bringing together Abrunhosa and GNR.

A new literary festival takes place in public spaces across the city between 24 and 29 June. In addition to the Nobel laureates, Julian Barnes and a joint concert by GNR and Pedro Abrunhosa are also on the programme.

The literary festival and the celebration of Francophone culture are joined by the Berry Singers, the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra, chanfana dishes, and traditional crochet lace.

The writer will travel to Portugal to present the book at the Correntes d'Escritas Festival.

Winners and finalists of the 2025 Booker Prize arrive in Portugal for the first time. Agustina Bessa-Luís, Shakespeare, Sylvia Plath, Slavoj Žižek and Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida are among the new additions.
