The presence of “legionella”, which can cause severe respiratory infection, prompted the suspension of public services, and the reception and processing of suspects detained by the PSP at Marquês de Pombal.

The PSP will temporarily close the toilet facilities and public counter services of the police station operating in the Marquês de Pombal metro station in Lisbon after the bacterium legionella was detected in those facilities, the police said today.
