The new phase of the project continues several actions aimed at modernising the infrastructure throughout the Cascais Line.

Passengers complain about a lack of shelters and poor access at Algueirão-Mem Martins railway station. Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) foresees major works 'next year'. Sintra City Council says the matter is a 'priority'.

The works are expected to last 150 days and will involve extending lines I and II to a total length of 250 metres. The agreement was signed last Monday.
