The Municipal Civil Protection Service is assessing whether other educational establishments should be closed because of the poor weather.

An explosion caused by a gas leak destroyed the first floor of a building in Vale das Flores, Coimbra, leaving four people with minor injuries and one seriously injured. The building was evacuated, there is damage up to the sixth floor, and more than 30 emergency personnel were deployed to the scene.
