The issue concerns an incident that occurred at the last municipal council meeting, following the publication of a news report about the Coimbra Cinema House.

The union expresses “deep concern” regarding this decision concerning a report that focuses “on public interest,” considering it an act “of conditioning freedom of the press.”

Vitor Fernandes requested clarifications and access to administrative documents, for which he was accused of “harassment” by Isabel Ferreira. The union considered the action an attack on freedom of the press.
