At the logistics hub beside the stadium, queues form from the start of the day. And not even the rain puts off those who need help.

The group the singer was with travelled in four vans to distribute food supplies.

On Saturday the council said that the donated food and hygiene items had already exceeded needs and asked the public to stop delivering them.

The Sanctuary said it sent to the Diocesan Cáritas of Leiria‑Fátima a package of food supplies to provide immediate support to the families affected by Storm Kristin.

Next week it will distribute breakfast at its facilities in Lisbon and Porto, and again at the weekend.
