IPMA has issued orange and yellow warnings for the nine islands of the Azores due to rough seas and strong winds, following a cold front.

Porto Santo Line has cancelled Wednesday and Thursday's trips between Madeira and Porto Santo due to poor weather conditions. To mitigate the situation, the company decided to add extra trips on Tuesday.

To address the situation, Porto Santo Line has decided to operate extra trips on Tuesday, departing from the Port of Funchal at 08:00 and returning from Porto Santo at 11:30.

A sharp deterioration in the weather over the coming days, especially rough seas, is expected to affect maritime transport operations in the region, the company says.
