Axe-throwing game leads Tax Authority to clarify that entry to shows and games is subject to 23% VAT
Entry to shows, sports events, and other entertainment such as games is subject to the maximum VAT rate of 23%, clarifies the Tax Authority (AT) in a binding information published on the Finance portal. The question was raised by a restaurant that wanted to apply the reduced VAT rate of 6% to the axe-throwing game.
