Chinese artist Jinky Huang and Portuguese cork: the material that shapes art and promotes sustainability
Chinese contemporary artist Jinky Huang has been using Portuguese cork for two decades to create sculptures, furniture, and design objects, championing the material for its sustainability and unique properties. Huang, who imports his raw materials from Portugal, has helped raise awareness of cork in China through his exhibitions, including his recent show in Shanghai, 'Deconstruct the Past Codes Hero: the Sustainable Roads'.
