“The Lisbon clubbing scene is healthy because of the tourists who go to Lux and Ministerium”: is the future in music tourism?
In a panel that brought together foreign musicians and promoters with work done in Portugal, Talkfest, in Lisbon, discussed the future of the live music industry and the generational changes also being felt in the ‘clubbing’ scene, the music danced to until dawn. Maintaining it, believes the co-founder of the MOGA festival, “is a matter of money and politics. There is [politically] an aversion to noise. That harms the scene more than the new generations not going to nightclubs as much.”
