Miguel Oliveira returned to the podium at the Algarve International Circuit by finishing third in the second race of the 2026 Superbike World Championship weekend, repeating his results from Saturday's race and Sunday morning's Superpole Race. The Portuguese rider confirmed a very positive start to the season in front of his home crowd, surpassed only by the dominant factory Ducatis. As in the previous races of the Portuguese round, victory went to Italy's Nicolò Bulega, who led a podium completed by his teammate Iker Lecuona in second. The Italian's dominance is also reflected in the overall championship standings, where he leads significantly after the opening rounds. With his results in Portimão, Miguel Oliveira climbed several spots in the championship table to fourth place, reinforcing the immediate impact of his debut with BMW in the Superbike World Championship.
