Matosinhos metrobus station at the airport to be located 250 metres from the terminal

The Matosinhos metrobus station will be situated approximately 250 metres from the airport's arrivals area, lacking an integrated interface with the terminal unlike the Porto Metro, according to project data. Public information from the Matosinhos City Council indicates the station will be on the EN107 road, rather than inside the terminal. The council, led by Luísa Salgueiro, has not responded to inquiries regarding accessibility for passengers with luggage or the lack of a continuous pedestrian path to the arrivals area. The project, which has already begun, covers 9.75 kilometres with 11 stations and is funded by the Just Transition Fund.
