Seventeen American Refuelling Tankers Stationed at Azores Airbase

Seventeen US Air Force KC-46 Pegasus aerial refuelling tankers are stationed at Lajes Field (Base das Lajes) on Terceira Island in the Azores. The aircraft remained grounded on the tarmac on Saturday as military personnel conducted routine maintenance. The deployment coincides with international reporting regarding potential American and Israeli military operations in the Middle East, echoing a similar arrival of 15 US tankers at Lajes in February.
