Musician Jorge Palma received the Career Award at the 8th PLAY - Portuguese Music Awards ceremony held at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon. The event, which featured performances and awards for various artists including Carminho, Mizzy Miles, and Mão Morta, also saw Palma call for the preservation of the spirit of the 25th of April revolution. Secretary of State for Culture Alberto Santos presented the award, praising Palma's unique contribution to Portuguese music.
