A head-on collision between two cars on the National Road 14 (EN14) bypass in Maia caused one death and two minor injuries early this morning. The victim, whose death was declared at the scene, was a 25-year-old man, a source from the Moreira da Maia Fire Department told Lusa. The two injured individuals, both around 30 years old, were transported to the hospital for observation. According to the same source, the accident occurred at 05:06, the time the alert was raised. The accident forced the road to be closed in both directions, but it has since reopened to traffic following cleanup operations.
