José Nunes Liberato, former head of the Civil House during Cavaco Silva's presidency, will chair the working group responsible for reviewing the Financial Regime for Local Authorities and Intermunicipal Entities. Among other aspects, the so-called Local Finance Law determines the amounts to be transferred by the central State to municipalities, intermunicipal communities, and metropolitan areas.
