Brazilian writer Jarid Arraes is launching her novel 'Corpo Desfeito' (Broken Body) in Portugal this coming Tuesday (31st), published by Europa-América. The book follows 12-year-old Amanda, who moves in with her grandmother after her mother's death, only to find herself in an environment of control and domestic violence. Arraes, a native of Juazeiro do Norte, is an award-winning author known for exploring themes of inequality, memory, and gender. The 128-page book will be available for €13.90.
