Approximately 10,000 primary school students in the Azores will receive copies of the children's book collection 'Patrulha Ação Azul' (Blue Action Patrol) over the coming months. This initiative, part of the 'Educating for a Blue Generation' program, is led by Blue Azores with support from the Oceanário de Lisboa and the University of the Azores, in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Education. The project aims to promote ocean literacy and marine conservation among younger generations through school sessions across all nine islands. Launched in 2019, the program seeks to foster environmentally conscious citizens by integrating ocean-related topics into the primary school curriculum through practical and engaging educational resources.
