Airline easyJet is set to boost its operations from Faro Airport, offering 18 routes to France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK, including a new service to Newcastle. The company announced a 3% increase in capacity compared to last summer, providing 1.7 million seats to support tourism in the Algarve. José Lopes, easyJet's general manager, highlighted the importance of the Faro base, which celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, in driving local tourism and economic development.
