The Lisbon Court of Appeal (TRL) is set to open its 12th civil section, which will exclusively handle family and minors' cases. Additionally, the CSM has issued new guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence in judicial activities, mandating that AI must only serve as an auxiliary tool, requiring human oversight, and prohibiting it from replacing judges in decision-making or evidence evaluation.
