Ten people were arrested and named as formal suspects on Tuesday, March 24, during an anti-drug trafficking operation in Alta de Lisboa, in the parish of Santa Clara, the Public Security Police (PSP) reported on Wednesday, March 25. In a statement, the Lisbon Metropolitan Command (Cometlis) of the PSP stated that nine men and one woman, aged between 18 and 44, were arrested on Tuesday, four of them in the act, during a police operation in which 14 home search warrants were executed in Alta de Lisboa and Camarate, in the municipality of Loures. During the searches, 650 doses of cocaine, 112 of hashish, 140 of heroin, 5,200 euros in cash, three 12-gauge shotguns, a pistol, dozens of rounds of ammunition of various calibres, a knuckle duster, two safes, and various materials associated with drug trafficking were seized. The suspects are awaiting their first judicial interrogation at the Cometlis facilities.
