The Government is awarding the Medal of Cultural Merit to Olga Roriz in recognition of her exceptional contribution to dance as an internationally renowned choreographer and dancer, the Ministry of Culture announced. Minister Margarida Balseiro Lopes stated that the award pays tribute to a major creator of contemporary culture, highlighting the lasting impact of her five-decade career. The ceremony will take place on April 29, World Dance Day, at the Teatro José Lúcio da Silva in Leiria, following the performance of her solo piece 'O Salvado'.
