Open gardens, guided tours and a concert by Agir & Paulo de Carvalho in the Belém Palace's 25th of April programme

Next Saturday, to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the 25th of April, the Belém Palace will open its doors for a series of free events, including guided tours of the President of the Republic's residence, concerts, poetry, and debates. During the morning, between 10:30 and 11:30, the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic will host guided tours of the Belém Palace. The palace gardens open at 13:30, and at 15:00, a concert by Agir & Paulo de Carvalho will take place in the Cascade Garden. At the same location, at 15:30, there will be a poetry performance titled 'Verso Solto' by Alice Neto de Sousa, accompanied by Giulia Gallina on the electric autoharp, with Portuguese Sign Language interpretation by Jéssica Ferreira. Shortly after, at 16:00, the venue will host the 'Palavra Futuro' concert featuring Maria Caetano Vilalobos, Maze, Muleca XIII, and Sir Scratch, followed half an hour later by the recital 'O Poema Ensina a Cair na Liberdade' by Raquel Marinho, accompanied by pianist Filipe Raposo. A highlight is the 17:00 conversation between the President of the Republic, António José Seguro, and a group of 25 young people regarding the priorities and challenges of our democracy for the future. The Belém Palace gardens will remain open until 19:00, with the last entry at 17:45. 25th of April: Montenegro to have lunch with Ruy de Carvalho and 'pay tribute to theatre' at the residence. April festivities in Lisbon include music, comedy, and the GNR Mounted Band.
