The Public Prosecution Service (MP) denied on Tuesday, April 28, any forecast for concluding the Operation 'Influencer' inquiry by 2027. While admitting that the delay in the process is 'not ideal', the director of the Central Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DCIAP), Rui Cardoso, guaranteed that the office will not rush into 'premature decisions' due to public pressure. The investigation involves suspicions of criminal activity regarding data centre construction in Sines, lithium mining in Montalegre and Boticas, and hydrogen energy production. The case previously led to the resignation of former Prime Minister António Costa.
