In Guinea-Bissau, where the war was lost and independence declared, the first nucleus of the Captains' Movement was born in 1973. Many of the men of April passed through there, and from there the regime was confronted. A plan B was drafted there, in case the 25th of April in Lisbon failed. The PIDE was also extinguished there, even earlier than in the capital. 50 years after the Revolution, we returned to Guinea-Bissau: this is the story of how the first red carnations were planted.
