The president of the Lisbon Regional Council of the Bar Association guarantees that if the choice is to hold another draw, “the process will be quick, but it is a shot in the dark” because the new court-appointed lawyer may refuse to defend Sócrates. A more lasting solution with a lawyer who agrees in advance to the conditions imposed by the court “will take longer.”
