MEPs want more money for more European priorities

MEPs argue that the post-2027 budget should be set at 1.27% of the European Union's gross national income (GNI) and that debt repayment costs should be excluded. Defence and competitiveness are new priorities, without prejudice to the funding of cohesion and agriculture.
